My Story

I’m in my late 40’s, married, and a mother of one awesome boy. I have suffered from severe chronic abdominal pain since mid-2014, plus chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. In mid-2021, I reached rock bottom. Being given a perfect bill of health after every invasive test you can imagine, I was set to give up.
My health had cost me my career, more friends than I can count and destroyed some of the most precious years of my only motherhood experience.
It almost broke me.
But I’m here, I’m thriving and I am now dedicating myself to helping others in the same hopeless, desperate situation that I have experienced, to get on the right path for them, and begin to rebuild their lives.
What makes me qualified for this work?
Well, apart from living in pain for more years than a person should (and to be clear, no one should live in pain for any time at all), I have dedicated myself to the study of human behaviour and emotional well-being in a quest to get myself well.
Along with a PGCert in Applied Positive Psychology, and a degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, I have diplomas in Pain Management, Stress Management and Body Healing as well as coaching, counseling and anger management.
From 2017 to 2021, I ran an online coaching business, which I paused in 2021, allowing me the space I needed to heal myself and work out what I could do with what was left of my life after so many years of chronic ill health. After a great deal of soul-searching and more study and focus than I ever imagined possible, Unity Body and Mind was born.
Blessed with ADHD and Dyspraxia, I have a fascination with how the brain works, and a vast pool of empathy for anyone who is suffering from any form of chronic illness.
From my own experience and all I have learned, I know you can be well. And that is what I want most for you.
